Amy Huff
Senior Associate Attorney
Amy is a native Southern Californian who has devoted herself to the Senior Community
for most of her life. Born in Long Beach, California, Amy attended U.C. San Diego for
her undergraduate degree and Santa Clara University School of Law.
Having enjoyed beloved grandparents, Amy knew early on she wanted to devote herself
to the burgeoning practice of Elder Law, advocating for senior rights. With a heart for
service, Amy spent her school years volunteering with the Assistance League in
assisted living facilities and as an intern with Legal Aid of San Jose. She also clerked
with several Elder Law and Estate Planning firms, and with the County Counsel’s Office
in Santa Ana.
In 2004, Amy opened a private practice in Laguna Woods, California at the Elder Law
Center offices. She continued to help seniors at local senior centers and as a speaker at
Chapman, Whittier and Western State Law Schools. Amy has served on the Board of
both the Elder Law and Trusts and Estates sections of the Orange County Bar
Association. /// and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys
(NAELA).
In recent years, Amy worked as a Long-Term Care Ombudsman with the Council on
Aging as a voice for vulnerable victims of elder abuse. In 2023, Amy was named one of
Orange County’s 125 “Most Influential People” by the Orange County Register. In her
free time, Amy enjoys travelling with her husband and two (now college-aged) children
and finding quiet moments to read and paint.
